A man wanted for the rape of two women that occurred earlier this week has turned himself in according to Scottsdale Police.
22 year old Ryan Joseph Festa reportedly saw the sketch that was broadcasted across media outlets in Scottsdale and after speaking with his criminal defense attorney turned himself in to the Scottsdale Police Thursday night.
According to Police, Festa entered a Camden San Paloma apartment through an unlocked patio door. While inside the apartment he sexually assaulted the 49-year-old female resident. Festa entered and exited the apartment completely naked.
Festa then allegedly entered another apartment in the Saddletree complex through another unlocked patio door. This time Festa sexually assaulted a 29-year-old female resident of the apartment. The victim was injured as she fought to escape and managed to scratch the intruder’s face and forehead in the struggle. The suspect was described as a black male between 5’6″ and 5’8″ tall, thin build, and in his late teens or early twenties.
Neighbors say they saw someone fitting the description lurking in the bushes around the complex yet failed to notify police. It is believed that the suspect stalked or watched his victims before the attack.
